March 6 (Reuters) – Global air travel remains severely disrupted after the war in Iran forced the closure of key Middle Eastern hubs including Dubai, Doha and Abu Dhabi, stranding tens of thousands of passengers worldwide and disrupting thousands of flights.
Below is the latest on flights listed by airlines in alphabetical order:
AEGEAN AIRLINES
Greece’s largest carrier has suspended flights to and from Tel Aviv, Beirut, Erbil and Baghdad through early morning arrivals of March 13, flights to and from Dubai and Abu Dhabi until the evening arrivals of March 12, and from Riyadh and Jeddah until the early morning arrivals of March 9.
AIR BALTIC
Latvia’s airBaltic said all flights to and from Tel Aviv had been cancelled through March 9. All flights to and from Dubai have been cancelled through March 8, including Dubai-Riga flight on March 9.
AIR CANADA
The Canadian carrier has suspended all flights to and from Dubai and Tel Aviv and is planning to restart them on March 23.
AIR EUROPA
The Spanish airline has cancelled all flights to Tel Aviv until March 11.
AIR FRANCE KLM
Air France has cancelled flights to and from Tel Aviv and Beirut through March 8 and to and from Dubai and Riyadh until March 6, including a departing flight from Dubai on March 7.
KLM said flights to and from Dubai, Riyadh and Dammam were suspended until March 8 and flights to and from Tel Aviv were suspended for the remainder of its winter season.
CATHAY PACIFIC
The Hong Kong airline said it had cancelled all flights to and from Dubai and to and from Riyadh through March 14.
DELTA
The U.S. carrier has cancelled flights from New York to Tel Aviv through March 22 and from Tel Aviv to New York through March 23.
EL AL ISRAEL AIRLINES
El AL and Sundor flights to and from Israel were cancelled until 2 a.m. local time on March 8.
EMIRATES
The UAE airline said it was operating a reduced flight schedule until further notice.
ETIHAD AIRWAYS
The UAE carrier will resume a limited commercial flight schedule from March 6, operating between Abu Dhabi and a number of key destinations.
FINNAIR
The Finnish carrier has cancelled Doha and Dubai flights until March 29 and is avoiding the airspace of Iraq, Iran, Syria and Israel.
IAG
IAG-owned British Airways said flights to Tel Aviv were cancelled through March 9 and flights to Amman, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Dubai, Doha were cancelled through March 7, with a reduced schedule running to Larnaca.
IAG’s low-cost airline, Iberia Express, cancelled all flights to and from Tel Aviv through March 10.
ITA AIRWAYS
ITA Airways has suspended flights to and from Tel Aviv until March 22. It extended Dubai cancellations until March 10.
JAPAN AIRLINES
Japan Airlines suspended Tokyo-Doha flights scheduled from February 28 to March 14 and Doha-Tokyo flights until March 15.
LOT
The Polish airline said all flights to and from Tel Aviv were cancelled through March 18. It also cancelled flights to Dubai until March 6 and to Riyadh until March 8.
LUFTHANSA GROUP
The German airline group, which includes Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, Swiss and Brussels Airlines, suspended flights to Tel Aviv through March 22, to Beirut through March 28, and to Amman and Erbil through March 15. Flights to Tehran were suspended through April 30 and to Dammam, Dubai and Abu Dhabi through March 10. Flights to Larnaca will resume on March 7.
MALAYSIA AIRLINES
The Malaysian carrier suspended all flights to and from Doha until March 7. It temporarily resumed return services to and from Jeddah and Madinah from March 4-8.
NORWEGIAN AIR
The Nordic airline plans to fly to Tel Aviv and Beirut from June 15, instead of April 1 and April 4, respectively, as it had previously planned.
PEGASUS AND TURKISH AIRLINES
Turkish Airlines removed Iran flights from its programme until March 12 and Pegasus Airlines has removed Iran flights until March 20, the Turkish Transport minister said. Turkish flights to Iran, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and Jordan will be stopped until March 9 and flights to Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and the UAE will not take place on March 6, he added.
QATAR AIRWAYS
The carrier said it had suspended flights to and from Doha due to the closure of Qatari airspace.
SINGAPORE AIRLINES
The Singaporean carrier has cancelled flights to and from Dubai through March 7. Its low-cost airline Scoot cancelled flights to and from Jeddah through March 7.
WIZZ AIR
The low-cost airline suspended flights to and from Israel, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Amman through March 15. Flights to Jeddah and Medina will recommence from March 8.
