Wall Street subdued at open ahead of Fed interest rate verdict

Dec ⁠10 (Reuters) – Wall Street’s ⁠main stock indexes opened little ⁠changed on Wednesday, ahead of a ​Federal Reserve monetary policy ‍decision that is widely expected to deliver an interest rate ​cut, while investors remain wary of hawkish commentary on the path ​of future easing.

The Dow ⁠Jones Industrial Average rose ‌13.7 points, or 0.03%, at the ⁠open to 47,573.96. ​The S&P 500 fell ‌7.0 points, or 0.10%, at the open ‍to 6,833.49​, while the Nasdaq Composite dropped 40.5 points, or 0.17%, to 23,536.001 at the opening bell.
